Your Work Environment
In this role, you’ll have the choice of joining our Fredericton, Halifax, Moncton, or Saint John office, while also taking advantage of our flexible hybrid work model. In recent years, we have prioritized significant investments to our physical office space to provide a bright, vibrant, highly functional, technologically advanced, and collaborative working environment for our team.
Regardless of your physical location, you will have the ability to collaborate seamlessly with EXP’s multidisciplinary team from within the region and across the company on some of Atlantic Canada’s largest and most exciting transportation infrastructure projects! If desired, you will also be given the opportunity to contribute to unique and challenging projects outside of Atlantic Canada as well.
Your Role & Responsibilities
Coordinate the planning, design, and construction management of a wide range of urban and rural transportation projects including new roadway alignments, interchanges, roundabouts, signalized/unsignalized intersections, and multi-use trails. Prepare construction specifications, drawings, and tender documents. Manage project budgets and schedules. Identify efficient project execution methods and associated resourcing needs. Engage with a variety of stakeholders including owners, contractors, sub-consultants, operations staff, utilities, businesses, and the public. Coach, mentor, and develop junior staff. Foster a safe and inclusive working culture.Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering. 8+ years of relevant technical experience in the planning, design, and construction of urban and rural transportation projects including new roadway alignments, interchanges, roundabouts, signalized/unsignalized intersections, and multi-use trails. In-depth knowledge of applicable standards, guidelines, and best practices. Established network of professional contacts within the transportation industry. Professional designation (or eligibility) in NB and/or NS Strong project management skills. Ability to problem solve by combining sound professional judgement, creativity, and innovation. Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills.#LI-BP1
