Senior Transportation Engineer - Design/Build

Braun Intertec is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer - Transportation Design/Build to join our St. Paul or Bloomington MN office. This position manages moderate to highly complex geotechnical projects by providing technical expertise required to exceed client expectations.

Projects can range from foundation work to transportation projects that require bridge and retaining wall foundation recommendations, pavement design, and material disposition recommendations.

Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain internal and external client relationships, including project and non-project related face-to-face meetings, leverage industry, DOT and design build networkProvide leadership of a technical or project related teamPrepare proposals for moderate to complex projectsDevelop and execute whole scopesPrepare complex engineering reports giving professional opinions and practical geotechnical solutionsPerform engineering analysis using company and industry methodologies and standardsProvide work direction and train/mentor junior engineering staffConsult on construction project issues related to subsurface conditions to check/verify conformance with safety, plans, and specifications

Required Experience:

Bachelor’s degree (BS) in geotechnical or geological engineering requiredPreferred Master's degree (MS) in geotechnical or geological engineering10 or more years of geotechnical engineering and/or leading design-build projectsMust have a valid driver’s licenseProfessional Engineer registration/licensureAbility to lift up to 30 pounds on a periodic basis
