Job Title: Senior Tunnel Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Tunnel Engineer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will develop detailed designs and plans for tunnel structures, lead tunnel construction projects, conduct geotechnical and structural analyses, and oversee construction processes. This role involves significant collaboration with other professionals, risk assessment, project management, and mentoring junior engineers.

ResponsibilitiesDevelop detailed designs and plans for tunnel structures using advanced computer software.Conduct geotechnical and structural analyses to ensure the integrity and safety of tunnel projects.Lead and manage tunnel construction projects from inception to completion.Develop and implement project plans, schedules, and budgets.Coordinate with project managers, architects, and other engineers.Analyze geological data to determine the best methods and locations for tunnel construction.Assess potential risks such as water inflow or soil instability and plan appropriate responses.Oversee construction processes to ensure compliance with design plans and safety regulations.Inspect ongoing projects and provide technical guidance to construction teams.Work closely with geologists, construction teams, and other professionals involved in the project.Prepare project reports and updates for management and stakeholders.Investigate and diagnose problems in existing tunnels.Design and oversee repairs or upgrades to ensure long-term functionality and safety.Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in tunnel engineering, including new techniques, materials, and regulations.Implement innovative solutions to improve project outcomes.Teach and mentor junior engineers, providing guidance and support to help them develop their skills and knowledge.Essential SkillsProficient in geotechnical engineering and engineering management.Experience in business development and project oversight.Must have a Professional Engineer (PE) license.Minimum of 10 years of tunnel engineering experience.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in overseeing a team of junior staff.Strong leadership and project management skills.Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $185000.00 - $200000.00
