Senior Ultrasound Technologist

A vascular sonographer, or vascular technologist, is a highly specialized and knowledgeable health care professional who is educated and trained to perform diagnostic and imaging procedures at the request of the physician to evaluate patients with peripheral vascular disease. The vascular technologist must be proficient in different diagnostic ultrasound modalities including 2-Dimensional, Spectral Doppler, and Color Doppler imaging. Vascular technologists also use other diagnostic instrumentation to non-invasively record vascular information, such as blood pressure, limb volume changes, oxygen saturation, cerebral circulation, and peripheral circulation.

Required Qualifications:

upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association. upon hire: National Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer from American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography. 2 years Experience performing vascular technology studies.

Preferred Qualifications:

Coursework/Training Completion of a training program accredited by the American Medical Association - Committee on Allied Health Education (AMA-CAHEA) for vascular ultrasound.
