This is an exciting opportunity to join a recently re-branded Berkley Product Protection team (previously called Berkley Global Product Recall).  The team consists of product recall and liability specialists and is focused on a sustainable recall offering and its expansion into admitted/non-admitted product liability. We are a collaborative, dedicated, knowledgeable teams and offer unique, tailored liability solutions to higher hazard, more difficult to insure, unique and unusual products-oriented accounts.

Responsibilities

The Berkley Product Protection Senior Underwriter is responsible for marketing, producing, pricing and underwriting product recall business on a profitable basis from brokers based in the U.S. in accordance with the companies underwriting guidelines. 

Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

 

Market Product Recall business to existing and new brokersProduce same from existing and new broker basePrice and underwrite product recall business Interface with claims as necessaryTravel to industry events and broker meetings as necessaryConduct both self and peer audits Qualifications BA/BS degree in related field of studyMinimum 5 years underwriting specialty lines insurance (i.e. product recall ,financial lines, environmental lines, or similar)Strong technical and marketing expertiseGood organizational skills, ability to handle multiple tasks and effectively prioritize.Demonstrated depth in negotiation, analytical and problem solving skills. Strong computer skills and ability to work with multi-faceted systems. Ability to effectively and independently manage complex workload while exhibiting very sound judgment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain relationships with brokers, agents, insureds and other departments.Exemplifies superior teamwork.Ability to travel 10-15% Additional Company Details We do not accept any unsolicited resumes from external search firms.
