Senior Underwriting Quality Analyst (hybrid)

What you will do

We are currently seeking a highly qualified and experienced Customer Retention Team Supervisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the Customer Retention and Expansion (CR&E) unit within the company, ensuring that established procedures and methods are effectively applied. The candidate must be able to supervise any CR&E unit and possess a comprehensive understanding of Company automation, workflows, and manual processes. They should also demonstrate the ability and knowledge to interpret and communicate Underwriting principles to their team.

Essential Functions:

Ensure proper underwriting practices and procedures are being adhered to through calibration reviews.

• Complete account file reviews and focused audits, reporting results to management.

• Conduct necessary research and analysis.

• Work closely with Manager of Underwriting Quality, members of the CSPIU team as well as the Regional Management teams to detect underwriting deficiencies and trends.

• Operate on an independent basis with minimal supervision; while taking the responsibility to learn new skills that would benefit the position.

• Lead the team in reviews for Declinations and Not Accepted accounts, along with other regional specific reports

Additional Responsibilities: 

Provide support to the underwriting leadership team and frontline underwriters. 

• Support underwriting precision, corporate sales and loss ratio goals. 

• Recognize the needs of the group and offers support to co-workers to achieve corporate objectives. 

• Assist in onboarding and training of new staff. 

• Assist the Manager of Underwriting Quality in managing the relationship with our vendors. 

• Assist the Director of UW Operations and Manager of Underwriting Quality in completing Regional Underwriting analysis. 

• Performs other duties as assigned 

• Conforms with all corporate policies and procedures

What you need 

Bachelor's degree preferred. 7-10 years of experience both new and renewal business in commercial lines underwriting. Underwriting experience with small commercial and middle market sized accounts, as well as all lines of business and varying coverages and target markets.

Salary Range: $75,000-$123,000 

The final salary to be paid and position within the internal salary range is reflective of the employee’s work experience, their geographic location, education, certification(s), scope and responsibilities in the role, and additional qualifications.

This position is a full time salaried, exempt (non overtime eligible) position
