Group 1 Automotive is looking to add a Senior Used Vehicle Regional Manager to our Southeastern region. This selected person will have the talent and experience to improve activities and performance of the Used Vehicle Sales Departments for multiple locations. (i.e. achieving used vehicle unit sales, PRU as well as adherence to policies and process). This position requires a person with superior organizational skills and team building abilities, as well as, align with GP1 Core Values of Integrity, Transparency, Professionalism, Teamwork and Respect.
The work position is located in the Gulf Coast and Southeast markets and the selected candidate must have the ability to relocate to the area if needed.
Responsibilities:
Support and improve performance and profitability of Used Vehicle Sales Departments for multiple locationsAchieve strong used vehicle unit sales and PRU, as well as adherence to policies and processExhibit superior organizational skills with strong attention to detailDemonstrate exceptional team-building abilitiesAbility to work well in a process-driven environment and from anywhereDevelop and lead monthly Used Vehicle Market Meetings Work with Used Vehicle Ops Team to forecast monthly metrics and project status updatesEngage with priority stores to achieve key goals, performance, expectations and best practices (i.e. Trade Ratio, PRU, Unit Sales, etc.)Work with selected dealerships identified for improvement and assist in creating work plans to achieve goalsAssist in interviewing UV Manager candidates, as requestedTrain UV Manager new hires, as needed, on GPI processes and systemsEnsure UV Managers are informed of market trendsAssist dealers in creating innovative ways to procure vehicle inventory and maintain healthy days’ supply.Monitor, coach, and assist in time-to-market, photo quality, and retail pricingAppraise inbound vehicles from all digital acquisition sources, as neededAssist dealers in bidding unique or non-core vehicles, as requestedPerform UV appraisals during acquisition or disposition of dealershipsTransfer aged inventory, based on internal protocols and resolve arbitrationsAssist with and monitor dealership wholesaling activitiesPartner with Service Departments to manage reconditioning of used vehiclesWork with Logistics team to minimize transportation times and expensesDemonstrates behaviors consistent with the Company’s Values in all interactions with customers, co-workers and vendors.
Qualifications:
5 years management experience in a dealership used vehicle department required.Operate laptop/personal computer with ease utilizing Microsoft Office: Email, Excel and Word, CDK and MAXCDK Experience a plus.Ability to work independently and be self-motivated.Works effectively in a commission, performance-based, environmentInteract successfully with various personalities, levels of management, and dealership cultureGreat attitude with high-energy personality.Excellent customer service skills.Maintain professional appearance and strong work ethicProfessional appearance and work ethic.Strong attention to detail.Ability to work well in a process driven environment and from anywhere.Project positive attitude and exude high-energy personality to encourage desired resultsPlace priority on excellent customer service and consistently implement those skills throughout processDemonstrate outstanding communication skills, both verbal and writtenValid driver license in the state that you will work and a good driving
