Job Description:

Job Summary

The Senior UX Designer leads the creation of a logical and easily navigable user experience, including user interfaces, navigational rules, information organization, site maps, and planning as it relates to the customer’s experience on ups.com.  This position uses industry standard design methodologies, usability study analytics and website heuristics to design interactive web application interfaces for ups.com. 

Responsibilities

The UX Designer will attend business requirement meetings to understand business needs, use cases, project objectives, and project scope, and provide user experience feedback to cross-functional teams to present business requirements and expected design impacts. They will highlight cross-project impacts and reuse opportunities to assist with cost control management. The successful candidate will partner with Consumer Technology and Marketing sponsors to transform new product or application improvement ideas into project definition documents supported by marketing and usability research, and provide multiple designs for customer testing and research.The UX Designer will work closely with cross-functional teams to provide user journey mapping, progressive designs, update user design standards, and develop new technology prototypes.The UX Designer will collaborate with cross-functional teams during functional requirement meetings to understand design changes required to meet business needs, approve functional requirements documentation to represent Interactive Communications acceptance of documented design details and resolutions, and determine the need for usability researchThe UX Designer will attend usability testing sessions to collect customer interaction data, analyze customer interaction data via various usability design concepts to develop optimal user experience reports that support customer and business needs, and present report analyses to cross-functional teams to incorporate overall strategic user experience standards into ups.com.Proficient in iterative UI/UX design, including sketches, wireframes, concept, and feature development in close collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders.Serve as team’s Subject Matter Expert (SME) for cross-functional teams to provide a consistent user experience across all of ups.com and work closely with the Digital Brand team to stay compliant with UX standards.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree or international equivalentDemonstrates an ability to think and act proactively and innovatively

Preferences:

5+ years UX/UI experience3+ years UX/UI experience on a consumer-facing mobile appProficient in Figma design software.Strong visual design skills with a solid foundation in typography and layoutExperience with usability research and testingStrong analytical and problem-solving skills

The position is based in Atlanta, Georgia and will require commuting to office.  Employer will not sponsor a visa for this position.  Must be currently in the same geographic location as the job or willing to relocate yourself.
