As our commitment to UX grows we are looking for a judicious-minded Senior UX Researcher to help scale our research efforts, identify, and explore new opportunities, and support the design and implementation of our products.

 

Your research will help us create useful, usable, and delightful new products and features for people as well as continually innovating on our existing products. As part of your role, you will bring an inclusive lens to product development by creating an understanding and empathy around the diversity of user needs. Your work will also influence product strategy, priorities and help to create a clear vision of the current and future user experience across device platforms (iOS, Android, and web) and throughout our ecosystem of products.

 

Responsibilities

Lead both evaluative and generative research efforts on high profile initiatives to inform product direction and ship great user experiences. Create research roadmaps across complex product areas and collect and assess user behavior through remote research studies, field visits, ethnography, surveys, benchmark studies, and user feedback. Partner end-to-end with product, analytics, and development teams to ensure alignment on product success and delivery. Deliver applicable, impactful research insights in a fast-paced environment to a variety of stakeholders across the business. Lead user testing using a number of disciplines including lab-based user testing, remote testing, paper prototype testing, iterative prototype testing, concept evaluation, field research, and survey design. Inspire change at all stages of product development by delivering compelling, written, in-person and visual presentations on your findings. Democratize research across the product & design teams to scale the reach and impact of research at SAP Concur.

 

Requirements

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience. 10 years of relevant work experience within User Experience, Human-Computer Interaction, applied research, and/or product research and development. Experience with research design utilizing various methods such as in-depth interviews, contextual inquiry, and surveys. Research experience in enterprise/business software, developer tools, IT, or other systems. Experience working in a fast-paced software development environment within a highly entrepreneurial organization. Understanding of the strengths and limitations of different research methods, including when and how to apply them during the product development process. Strong written and oral communication, and influence skills. Comfortable presenting to groups, creating compelling stories from data, and building strong relationships across interdisciplinary stakeholders Demonstrated ability to identify, ask and answer questions that inspire product change A genuine passion for finely crafted user experiences that are both elegant and usable

SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is 102400 - 214,300 (CAD) CAD. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount, and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance. Due to the nature of the role, which involves global interactions with SAP entities, as well as with employees and stakeholders in Canada, functional proficiency in English is required for positions based in the Quebec.
