Senior Utilities Supervisor

Johnson Johnson is currently seeking Senior Engineer, Electrical/Instrumentation to join our Johnson Johnson Innovative Medicine Supply Chain organization located in Wilson, North Carolina.

While this role will ultimately support the site operations located in Wilson NC, this role will also be required to support the project phase across both design construction. For the project design phase, the role will require you to be present with our design teams in the Greater Philadelphia region. Once the design phase is completed, this role will support the construction and operational start-up of the site. For this, you will be required to be on site in Wilson, NC. Based on your current location the hiring team will work with you to determine travel and relocation arrangements. In steady state, we expect travel to be less than 10%.

The MAM (MAKE Asset Management) organization operates as one integrated team in the delivery of Engineering, Maintenance and Execution Systems solutions. We operate in a standard, coordinated and consistent manner in support of the current and future requirements of our Manufacturing and Manufacturing Science and Technology (MSAT) and in partnership with key internal/external network.

TheSenior Supervisor, Utilities reports to the Maintenance Senior Manager and is responsible for the operation and maintenance of all site utility equipment, i.e.. Boilers, Chillers, Cooling Towers, Water for Injection (WFI), compressed air, HVAC, steam, etc. (GMP and non GMP).

Key Responsibilities:

Own, operate and maintain all site Utilities (Clean and Black) infrastructure assets, acting as site Subject Matter Expert (SME) for all operational, maintenance and project related scope.Supervises a team of multi-craft maintenance technicians and is accountable for conducting effective performance management.Analyze, develop, and implement effective and operationally-sound functional strategies and initiatives.Assists with the coordination and execution of processes and assignments for Maintenance Utilities area.Reports to managers on project activities and progress against key deliverables, ensuring projects are on schedule to meet agreed timelines.Supports and/or leads root cause analysis and implementation of robust solutions to downtime issues.Maintains a consistent workflow and productivity of the team, and proactively identifies and resolves operational issues and concerns.Coaches less experienced staff, recommending plans for continual improvement, and consistently evaluates individual and team performance against operational goals.Creates and maintains a training program to ensure the team is up to date with the Utilities technology and industry trends.Monitors utility operations to ensure cGMP compliance.Develops operating procedures for utilities.Develops and executes maintenance procedures, preventive and corrective maintenance, and equipment files for the utility equipment (GMP and non GMP). Identifies appropriate spare parts to ensure maximum availability of equipment.Evaluates equipment reliability to identify trends and maximize equipment uptime.Creation and management of appropriate maintenance contracts.Manages/Leads shutdown program.

Understanding of the importance of regulatory requirements. Excellent influencing, partnering, and collaboration skills. Strong analytical, conflict management, risk management, and critical thinking skills. Effective oral and written communication and presentation skills.

Preferred:

People management experience.Project management experience.Proficiency in computer operating systems and applications, including SAP.FPX certification, Six Sigma, or Lean experience.Knowledge of GMP and cGMP maintenance in an FDA-regulated environment.Experience with greenfield or brownfield GMP manufacturing facility start-ups, including process systems, automation, utilities, facilities, and operations.
