Position: Senior UX Designer
Job Location: 850 Cherry Avenue, San Bruno, CA 94066
Duties: Execute design projects at an exemplary level and ensure the highest quality of craft in the creation of user interfaces and experiences. Tailor designs to meet the diverse needs of Walmart Advertisers and consider inclusivity and accessibility. Collaborate with cross-functional partners, including product managers, developers, and business stakeholders, to ensure alignment and successful project outcomes. Develop and articulate the experience strategy for the program and align it with both user needs and overarch business goals. Set the design direction and ensure that the user experience is cohesive, engaging, and aligned with Walmart's brand identity. Actively seek feedback from peers and cross-functional stakeholders at various stages of the product design lifecycle and embrace a culture of continuous improvement by incorporating feedback into design iterations. Collaborate with the design research team to gather valuable insights at critical points in the design process. Ensure that user research findings inform and validate design decisions and contribute to user-centric solutions. Embrace a fast-paced environment by rapidly prototyping and experimenting with design concepts. Iterate quickly based on learnings from user testing and insights gathered during the design process. Juggle and prioritize tasks effectively across different projects and adapt to changing priorities and timelines. Maintain a balance between various design initiatives while ensuring high-quality outcomes. Create scalable and modular experiences and collaborate closely with the design system team. Advocate for the Design Thinking philosophy throughout the business and foster a user-centric and iterative approach to problem-solving. Ensure that complex design ideas are conveyed in a clear and understandable manner to various stakeholders. Stay abreast of the latest design trends both within and outside the retail industry. This position does not supervise employees.
Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree or the equivalent in UI/UX Design, Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Product Design, Computer Science, Information Technology, Digital Arts, or related area and 1 year of experience in UI/UX, interactive and visual design, electronics art, multimedia design, or related area; OR Bachelor's degree or the equivalent in UI/UX Design, Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Product Design, Computer Science, Information Technology, Digital Arts, or related area and 3 years of experience in UI/UX, interactive and visual design, electronics art, multimedia design, or related area.
Skills required: Experience participating in user interviews, surveys, and usability testing. Experience analyzing and interpreting data to inform design decisions. Experience developing site maps, user flows, and wireframes. Experience working with content designers to create an intuitive and user-friendly experience. Experience creating interactive prototypes and animations in Figma. Experience with front-end development. Experience applying principles of visual design to enhance the aesthetics and appeal of the product. Experience creating high, mid, and low fidelity mockups and design assets in Figma. Experience structuring and organizing information and creating and refining sitemaps and user flows. Experience implementing a user-centered design approach throughout the product development process. Experience ensuring the designs are inclusive and accessible to users with diverse abilities. Salary Range: $125,653/year to $234,000/year. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include: Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location) and Stock equity incentives.
