Design discovery:
Conduct detailed competitor research and document your research findingsBe curious about eCommerce and customer shopping behaviorsUnderstand the business and business goals to deliver positive impactEngage in user-centric design by actively seeking user input, analyzing user behavior, and incorporating user feedback into the design processDive deep to understand the products’ features and customer shopping pain-pointsAnalyze user journeys to uncover pain points, bottlenecks, and opportunities to enhance the user experienceUse prototyping for user testing to validate design ideas and iterate on solutionsContribute to the development and maintenance of design systems, UI kits, and other design resources to ensure consistency and efficiency across products (covering dark mode/ light mode, making sure that UI library is up to date, covering all the states, etc.)Stay up-to-date with the latest trends, innovations, and best practicesCustomer-centric design:
Continuously evolve our products' language and improve existing design solutions to make them more intuitive and naturalApply design thinking to create solutions that address real user needsConduct competitor research, develop information architecture, create user journeys, and explore various mockup variations and prototypes to craft effective design solutionsTake an active role in organizing and streamlining design processes within the teamShare best practices, establish design workflows, and contribute to the creation of a collaborative and efficient design environmentBe excited to share your design ideas with peers and key stakeholdersEffectively communicate your design decisions and the underlying processCollaborate closely with other designers and product managers to ensure consistency and coherence in design approaches across multiple product featuresSkills and Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum 8+ years of experience with Bachelor’s DegreeAbility to think strategically and consider business objectives, user needs, and technical feasibility when designing productsDemonstrated expertise in designing intuitive and engaging user interfaces for web & mobile platforms for eCommerceProficiency in creating prototypes at varying levels of fidelity, from rough sketches to interactive and polished prototypes for usability testingAbility to develop and maintain a design system or UI library that promotes consistency and efficiency across multiple projectsFamiliarity with modern design methodologies such as design thinking, data-driven design, and human-centered designExpertise in using Sketch for design, prototyping, and collaboration purposesExperience in designing for the web, mWeb and mobile App solutionsExperience in analyzing user interviews and usability testing sessionsCreative approach to problem-solving and the ability to think outside the boxAbility to keep the end-user in mind throughout the design process, ensuring that the final product meets their needs and expectationsProactive attitude towards taking ownership of projects and driving them forwardStrong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectivelyExcellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate design decisions, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and present ideas effectivelyStrong command of EnglishAbility to analyze product usage dataFollowing accessibility standards#LI-RL1

The salary range for this role, for candidates based in NYC/California, is expected to be between $212,500 and $224,000. Actual pay will be determined considering factors such as relevant skills and experience, and comparison to other employees in the role.
