EF EdTech is looking for an experienced UX Researcher to join the Design Studio team in London, or Shanghai. We are on a mission to continually defy and reset expectations of what great learning experiences can be. Through a connected, online learning ecosystem, we unleash the untapped potential in teachers, students, and organizations – helping them set, achieve and exceed their language learning goals.You will work alongside our global team of product and learning designers to help reinvent online language learning and education. Our ideal candidate Starts with “Why?” Has a passion for understanding people, systems, and technology Is organized with a high attention to detail Is very articulate, communicative and open Is driven and motivated by close interaction with designers, engineers, academic and product people  Is not afraid of failure Is a life-long learner Responsibilities Independently conduct research across multiple product and platform experiences. Collect, analyse, and document user behaviour through remote and lab studies, field visits, ethnography, surveys, benchmark studies, and in-product experimentation. As part of the EF EdTech Design Studio team, work closely with product designers, learning designers, cross-functional partners, and leadership to understand and prioritise research opportunities in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment. Advocate research findings to diverse audiences through written reports and in-person presentations. Communicate UX research findings with cross-functional partners, and leadership to drive opportunity and user impact. Role requirements Bachelors or Masters degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Cognitive Science, Statistics, Psychology, or related field 2 years of experience working with senior leadership (e.g. Director level and above). 4 years of experience conducting UX research on products, managing UX research projects. Experience working in Education and/or Technology preferred. A robust understanding and application of appropriate and differentiated research methods; including when and how to apply them during the product development process. Fluency in English. Additional fluency in Chinese preferred.  What we offer
