Senior UX Strategist

Here’s what the opportunity supported through our TEKsystems Global Services (TGS) Talent Acquisition Team requires: Position Overview One North is looking to add a high-level UX Strategist to our open, inclusive, and collaborative team. In this role, you’ll be on the front lines helping our clients plan, create, and deliver digital experiences. Ideally, you have strong and demonstrated UX chops (research, design, and prototyping), collaboration, and consulting skills. As part of our multidisciplinary strategy team, you’ll be at the center of projects and connected all the way through from concept to execution. This role will ideally be based in the Chicagoland area, but we are open to remote locations across the U.S. Responsibilities • Work across a spectrum of large and small-scale digital communications, websites, apps, and product engagements. • Work on multiple clients and/or internal projects at a time by prioritizing your efforts with your project leads or manager. • Represent the voice of the user, ensure the solution is effective, engaging, usable, consistent, and aligned with the client's business goals and end user needs. • Work within the unknown and discovery phases of engagements to set-up solution concepting and definition. • Lead design thinking, user centered design methods, research, and testing; know when to utilize them in your design process as well as advocate for and educate about them. • Execute UX research methods as part of the design process, including interviews, surveys, heuristic analysis, usability testing, A/B testing, and analytics analysis and utilize findings to drive design decisions. • Develop user personas and journey maps that build empathy by illustrating user behaviors, preferences, needs, and pain points alongside other Strategists. • Create storyboards, user flows, diagrams, system maps, detailed information architecture, and taxonomies. • Iterate on solutions and create detailed wireframes and functional specifications, by laying the strategic foundational structure of a website's components and page types or leveraging and expanding upon an existing design system/site structure. • Drive quality of the solution and its impact. Know when to abandon or rework the plan. Take and push for design risks, push past the obvious. • Design solutions that balance user frictions and needs with our client's business goals, market viability, and technical feasibility. • Present your work to clients and internal stakeholders, communicate complex ideas visually and verbally, use storytelling, seek feedback, and facilitate collaboration. • Foster strong client relationships on UX Strategy projects by leading client workshops, facilitating working sessions, and adjusting your approach when necessary to help you accomplish your goals and outputs. • Receive and facilitate client feedback, know how and when to defend design decisions and articulate decision trade-offs. • Drive collaboration for yourself and others by engaging with multi-disciplinary internal teams, clients, end users, and third parties/consultants. • Pay close attention to interpersonal relationships and their effect on the working environment and project quality. • Stay on top of UX and industry trends to drive your career development and share your learnings with other UX Strategists during UX team time or through thought leadership. • Bring a strong and informed point of view of the design process and advocate internally for process, project, tool, and agency improvement. • Contribute to our culture of feedback and act as a mentor to junior team members, modeling the behaviors and characteristics of a leader. Skills & Qualifications • 4 or more years of professional agency or consulting experience preferred • Bachelor’s degree preferred • Agile and lean product design experience preferred • Strong presentation skills, experience communicating and visualizing complex and abstract ideas and concepts, storytelling, and presenting to executive-level stakeholders • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Expert command of usability heuristics, HCI, and UX best practices • Demonstrable experience solving a range of UX problems across a variety of projects • Working knowledge of design and collaboration software (i.e., Figma, Miro, Teams, Confluence, etc.) • Experience drafting and conducting usability testing sessions, synthesizing findings, and translating them into actionable tactics • Experience partnering with technical architects and writing functional specifications • Ability to travel to client sites and projects, up to 15% of the time Application Requirements • Portfolio of recent work showing process and deliverables required Skills Interaction Design Experience, ux design, design, digital, information architecture, wireframes, prototype design, ux strategy, website design, product design, figma Top Skills Details Interaction Design Experience,ux design,design,digital,information architecture,wireframes,prototype design,ux strategy,website design,product design Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience working with clients: collaboration, workshops, and presentation Passion for understanding digital systems and the people who use them Passion for problem solving and working on complex problems Must demonstrate a strong point of view/approach to design process Experience Level Intermediate Level Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $97600.00 - $146400.00 We reserve the right to pay above or below the posted wage based on factors unrelated to sex, race, or any other protected classification.
