About the role

Zillow is looking for a responsible and dedicated individual to join our Vendor Management team. You will work closely with our Corporate Social Responsibility team and collaborate with various groups within the company. Your main focus will be on developing and enhancing Zillow’s supplier sustainability program. The role requires proactivity and strong communication skills to engage with suppliers and internal partners, including senior leaders.

This position involves collaborating with internal business partners to create policy, set strategy and implement initiatives aimed at achieving Zillow's supply chain science-based target. Additionally, the role includes engaging with suppliers to support Zillow in achieving its supply chain science-based target by educating them on our requirements, collaboratively setting goals, and then holding them accountable for their performance. Lead the development of supplier-focused policy and performance expectations for measuring, managing and reporting on supplier emission targets, as well as other activities that impact Zillow Group’s science-based sustainability targets.Develop plans to integrate supplier sustainability and targeted opportunities into Zillow's business and operations, including meeting climate targets and managing supplier climate change risk.Align Vendor Management expectations with the Zillow Group Procurement process to influence suppliers to build robust sustainability practices that align with Zillow's values and reliably deliver high-quality goods and services across all Zillow brands.Act as a stakeholder in internal and external workstreams to align the requirements for our suppliers with corporate climate targets and improve our sustainability initiatives, ensuring alignment to timelines and milestones.Monitor and report progress to measure the effectiveness of supplier sustainability initiatives, providing quarterly and annual metric reports to measure progress towards achieving Zillow’s supply chain science-based target.Educate suppliers and ZG staff on the Vendor Management program’s sustainability policies and guidelines, and thereafter disseminate our expectations for supplier accountability.Lead the annual sustainability reporting process for suppliers in partnership with the corporate social responsibility team and various internal partners.Serve as an advisor to cross-functional partners on supplier sustainability strategies and transformation efforts.Establish metrics, creating reporting mechanisms and benchmark strategies, results, and performance with industry norms and best practices.Establish processes and governance models essential for growing sustainability initiatives and accountability across the supply chain. Collaborate with suppliers to encourage participation in decarbonization efforts, empowering them to mitigate emissions and set science-based targets.

This role has been categorized as a Remote position. “Remote” employees do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and, instead, work from a physical location of their choice, which must be identified to the Company. U.S. employees may live in any of the 50 United States, with limited exceptions.

In California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Nevada, New York, Washington state, and Washington DC the standard base pay range for this role is $81,200.00 - $129,800.00 Annually. This base pay range is specific to California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Nevada, New York, Washington state, and Washington DC and may not be applicable to other locations.

In addition to a competitive base salary this position is also eligible for equity awards based on factors such as experience, performance and location. Actual amounts will vary depending on experience, performance and location.

Who you areBachelor’s degree in business, finance, supply chain or related field, or equivalent experience.5+ years of hands-on experience in supplier management roles at medium to large enterprises, with a focus on achieving scope 3 targets.Demonstrates a passion for encouraging internal relationships and networking with sustainable organizations.Understanding of sourcing and procurement processes.Adept at dealing with ambiguity and eager to help identify and guide suppliers through setting science-based targets as we identify suppliers that may need assistance.Demonstrable experience establishing baseline metrics and setting ambitious goals. You can monitor progress and support the visualization of data and have solid project management skills.Experience in developing strategies and processes for improving supply chain sustainability, and guiding organizations through progressive change. Consistent track record of implementing initiatives to improve operational efficiency and drive environmental stewardship.Strong executive communication skills, both written and verbal, advocating for organizational solutions that align with internal and external interests.Proficient in Google Workspace applications, Tableau, Smartsheet, Workday Financials and Workday Strategic Sourcing.
