Job Description Location: Aberdeen, Hybrid Working
Our client is establishing a new branch in Aberdeen, UK, and is seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Vessel Manager to join their team. This role offers a clear progression pathway to Deputy Fleet Manager as the UK operation expands.
This pivotal role offers the opportunity to lead assigned vessels, ensuring safety, reliability, and compliance with all international standards while delivering exceptional service to both internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage assigned vessels, ensuring compliance with Class, Flag State, and international regulations. Conduct technical inspections, and plan and execute repairs, maintenance, and dry dockings within schedules and budgets. Promote a strong safety culture across the fleet and lead investigations into incidents and accidents. Prepare and manage vessel budgets, ensuring robust cost control. Provide visible leadership to offshore teams and collaborate effectively with Crewing, Operations, and Chartering departments. The Ideal Candidate:
Holds a Marine Engineering degree or a Chief Engineer/Master's Certificate of Competency (CoC). Demonstrates a proven track record in senior management within ship management or a similar environment. Previous seagoing experience on Offshore Support Vessels (OSVs) is advantageous.
