Job Description

Overview: 
The SVP, Commerce will work as a member of a cross-functional team with ownership of commerce strategy within the Strategic Intelligence Hub. They are responsible for building and maintaining an effective and productive relationship with key senior clients client and acting as subject matter expert on all things commerce to ensure the team is delivering a holistic commerce strategy, as well as innovative opportunities and tools that keep Walmart on the cutting edge of the marketplace.

This position is highly strategic and requires the ability to navigate a complex, lead-edge and fast-moving retail landscape and organization. They will lead the commerce team in develop strategies and approaches to meet and exceed client business objectives. As well as work in partnership with our Strategy and Media Investment teams to maximize commerce strategies and role within client campaigns.

Role Objectives:

Spearhead agency POVs on commerce/social commerce opportunities in the marketplaceAssumes accountability and ownership of enterprise commerce strategy and supports activation as neededMonitors performance in order to leverage learnings for future strategic recommendationsInterfaces with other team members (including audience strategy, social strategy, content strategy, video investment, digital investment, planning and analytics) to share ideas, identify and deliver new solutions for the clientKeeps management apprised of key client opportunities, potential risks and other key nuances which affect the health of the businessIdentify and unlock capabilities, strategies and tools that could be translated into potentially new social commerce roadmapsReviews client deliverables for quality and ensures that recommendations and work product are sound and viableProvides excellent communication via phone, emails and direct contactEffectively creates and delivers client presentations and regularly provides thought leadership to clientsCommands data analysis of key metrics to identify, recommend and implement changes for increasing commerce performance of client programsEmbraces and encourages a culture based on teamwork, collaboration, and intellectual curiosityAdopts stated account management standards and program management best practicesAssists in training, mentoring, and developing team membersAssists in the development and documentation of best practices for improving commerce expertise and operational efficiencies within the team and the group

QualificationsB.A. or B.S. in Marketing, Advertising or related field12+ years of digital media buying/planning/commerce experience8+ years of leadership experience with strong client and presentation skillsMust possess/develop a strong understanding of the commerce marketplace including awareness of key industry trends, products/capabilities and social commerceExperience and expertise of the nuances surrounding social commerce/shoppable tools across key social platforms such as: Meta, TikTok, Twitter, Pinterest, SnapDeep knowledge of retailer ecosystems, and go-to-market strategiesUnderstanding of branded content and influencer marketing a plusMust have excellent verbal/written communication skills, interpersonal skills, detail-orientation, follow-though skillsMust be hard-working, resourceful and thrive in a fast-paced environment Comfortable navigating up, across, and diagonally; highly-capable of voicing a strong POV with senior audiencesExcellent project-management skills; able to manage multiple projects & peopleHigh versatility and agility to multi-task on projects across agency and clientAble to manage high volume / high velocity client projectsProficiency with key business software programs including Microsoft Office suite of products (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc.)Expert use of industry tools, and ability to learn and utilize Publicis Groupe proprietary toolsEntrepreneurial spirit and high self-motivation

Compensation Range:  $167,000 - $238,400 annually.  This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time.
