Senior Vice President, Corporate Chief Nurse Executive
**Job Summary** The Senior Vice President, Corporate Chief Nurse Executive (SVP, CNE) serves as the top nursing executive for the organization, providing strategic leadership and oversight of nursing practices across all facilities and service lines. The SVP, CNE ensures the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care, promotes nursing excellence, and drives continuous improvement in clinical outcomes. This role collaborates with executive leadership to align nursing operations with the organization's mission, vision, and strategic goals while maintaining compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards. **Essential Functions** + Leads the development and implementation of the organization’s nursing strategy to ensure the highest standards of clinical care and patient safety. + Promotes evidence-based practice, innovation, and research to enhance nursing practice and improve patient outcomes across all facilities. + Oversees the establishment and maintenance of nursing policies, procedures, and protocols, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and best practices. + Collaborates with executive leadership to develop and implement strategies for workforce planning, recruitment, retention, and professional development of nursing staff. + Serves as the organization’s nursing representative in interactions with the Board of Directors, regulatory agencies, and external stakeholders. + Ensures compliance with accreditation standards and regulatory requirements, including those of The Joint Commission (TJC), Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), and state agencies. + Leads initiatives to promote a culture of safety, quality, and accountability within nursing teams, fostering an environment of collaboration and excellence. + Collaborates with other clinical leaders to enhance interdisciplinary teamwork and ensure seamless care delivery across the continuum of care. + Oversees the development and management of budgets for nursing services, ensuring cost-effective operations while maintaining high-quality care. + Drives initiatives to enhance patient satisfaction and engagement, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and patient-centered care principles. + Serves as a mentor and role model for nursing leaders, fostering professional growth and leadership development within the nursing organization. + Represents the nursing discipline in organizational decision-making, advocating for nursing practice and ensuring the voice of nursing is included in strategic discussions. + Performs other duties as assigned. + Complies with all policies and standards. **Qualifications** + Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) required and + Master's Degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field required + Doctorate in Nursing Practice (DNP) or PhD in Nursing or a related field preferred + 15+ years of progressive nursing leadership experience, with at least 10 years in a senior executive role overseeing multi-facility nursing operations required + Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing enterprise-wide nursing strategies, improving clinical outcomes, and driving organizational change + Proven track record of leading high-performing nursing teams and fostering a culture of excellence and accountability **Knowledge, Skills and Abilities** + Comprehensive knowledge of nursing practices, healthcare operations, and regulatory standards. + Strong strategic planning and decision-making skills, with the ability to align nursing initiatives with organizational goals. + Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills, with a focus on building collaborative relationships across all levels of the organization. + Expertise in budget management, resource allocation, and operational efficiency. + Ability to analyze complex clinical and operational data to inform decision-making and drive improvements. + Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively engage with internal and external stakeholders. + Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in nursing practice and leadership. **Licenses and Certifications** + RN - Registered Nurse - State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure required + Certification in Nursing Leadership or Healthcare Management (e.g., NEA-BC, FACHE) preferred Equal Employment Opportunity This organization does not discriminate in any way to deprive any person of employment opportunities or otherwise adversely affect the status of any employee because of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, genetic information, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, citizenship, veteran status, or military or uniformed services, in accordance with all applicable governmental laws and regulations.
