**The Opportunity:**
Teva is seeking a Senior Vice President of External Manufacturing & Supply Operations who will lead Teva’s overarching External Manufacturing & Supply strategy, planning, business processes, and organization to enable business growth and profitability by ensuring cost effective and reliable supply of quality products from Teva’s partners and contract manufacturers globally. This position reports to our Global Head of Operations and is a member of the Global Operations Leadership Team.
**This position can be based in Europe or Parsippany USA**
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ Develops a strategy for external manufacturing of Teva’s products and manage its implementation, in collaboration with TGO leadership and commercial units
+ Establishes and manages strong relationships with external manufacturing partners to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of products and compliance with quality, regulatory, and safety standards
+ Collaborates with cross-functional team to ensure seamless operations and reinforces key interfaces (e.g., Procurement, Manufacturing, Supply Chain)
+ Develops strategic partnering to give access to unique and key capabilities for the development and supply of our future products
+ Coordinates make vs buy strategy along with Internal Manufacturing Head
+ Manages partners portfolio to control risk, supply, quality and cost optimization
+ Develops robust risk management strategies to mitigate potential disruptions in the external supply chain
+ Implements best practices in external manufacturing and monitors appropriate KPIs and metrics to track supplier performance, compliance and cost improvements
+ Develops the org model in each region to support the flow of information to our suppliers and of products to our markets
+ Monitors and analyses cost performance, implementing cost-savings initiatives without compromising quality or efficiency
+ Leads and mentors a high-performing team, promoting collaboration and innovation
+ Guides team members' professional growth and development
**Critical Skills/Capabilities:**
**Professional** : Extensive experience in external manufacturing and supplier management within the Pharma / Med Tech / Consumer industries; Strong understanding of best practices in manufacturing and supply chain management; Experience in ensuring compliance and maintaining high quality standards in manufacturing processes
**Essential** : Strong critical thinking / problem-solving skills to navigate ambiguous situations; Strategic thinking; Excellent negotiation skills; Excellent storytelling and presentation skills; Cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management; Effective communication; Strong relationship and senior stakeholder management capabilities; Ability to balance long-term innovation with short-term operational needs
**Leadership:** Strong leadership, change management & influencing skills; Decision-making under uncertainty skills; Ability to drive transformational change in a large/global/matrixed environment; Proven talent management & people development capabilities (incl. coaching and mentoring); Ability to create an engaging & inclusive work climate and a culture of appreciation and trust; Ability to set a vision and drive organizational change and innovation; Ability to manage effectively complexity within the organization (shifting timelines, projects, priorities)
**Education/Qualifications:**
+ 15+ years experience in pharmaceutical external manufacturing and supply chain operations, with at least 10 years in a senior leadership role
+ Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Engineering, SC Mgmt, Business Administration). Advanced degree preferred. Proven track record in managing external manufacturing partnerships and complex supply chains.
