Senior Vice President of Accounting & Finance

Living our shared culture and story strengthens the collection and each resort’s ability to thrive.   Position Overview We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Vice President of Finance and Accounting to join our leadership team. This role will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO). The successful candidate will play a crucial role in overseeing our corporate accounting team and providing financial leadership across our organization. Responsibilities Key Responsibilities Provide transformational leadership and direction to corporate accounting team across the collection of Boyne Resorts, managing expectations including conflicting priorities while meeting deadlines and delivering results. Focused on developing talent with the long-term goal of establishing a talent pipeline withing the high-performing team of Accounting/Finance. Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial reporting and follow GAAP accounting procedures. Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes collaborating with executive team with ability to clearly communicate instructions and guidelines verbally, visually and in writing. Provide financial guidance and support to all with dotted line relationship. Direct and lead a small team of accounting and finance professionals that support the day-to-day operations of the shared services of accounting and finance team. Optimize financial operations and implements best practices across the organization to improve profitability working directly with leadership across all lines of business. Facilitates the business planning process with executive leaders including capital planning, forecasting and timely reports to improve financial responsiveness throughout the enterprise. Develop relationships with external auditors, banks, and other financial partners. Assists with the creation and development of Board materials to support CFO and CEO. Qualifications Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in finance and accounting, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred 10-15 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting roles 5+ years of experience in a senior leadership position within the hospitality or ski resort industry Strong leadership and team management abilities Strong understanding of multi-resort operations and financial management Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills Outstanding communication, both written and verbal as well as strong interpersonal skills. Work Environment This position offers flexibility with the option for remote work. However, it requires: Frequent travel to our home office in Northern Michigan Must be available evenings, weekends and holidays to support 24/7, 365-day business Regular travel to engage with resort teams across North America Ability to work and travel to areas with cold temperatures, icy conditions, including snow and rain.
