Senior Vice President - PurEnergy

PurEnergy is a veteran asset management firm with 20+ years’ experience managing and enhancing power generation, transmission and other infrastructure projects. We provide a full suite of asset management and financial services on behalf of owners, lenders and other critical stakeholders. Today’s power generation projects face an increasingly complex array of management challenges. Many plants are in trouble or underperforming. Others are seeking new ownership or management. GENERAL SUMMARY
This position is responsible for providing strategic leadership and financial performance for the Company by working with the leadership team, management and NAES Executives to establish long-range goals, strategies, plans and policies.

WORKING RELATIONSHIPS
This position reports to NAES SVP Power Services

COMPENSATION

The initial compensation range for this position is $270,000 to $300,000

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Provides leadership and management to ensure that the mission and core values of the Company are put into practice. Drives the Company to achieve and surpass sales, profitability, cash flow and business goals and objectives. Enhance and/or plan, develop, and implement strategies to advance the Company’s mission and objectives and to promote revenue, profitability, and growth as a Company. Collaborate with the executive management team to develop and implement plans for the operational infrastructure of systems, processes and personnel designed to accommodate the growth objectives of the Company. Oversee Company operations to insure production efficiency, quality, service, and cost-effective management of resources. Motivate and lead a high-performance management team; attract, recruit and retain required members of the PurEnergy team; Evaluate performance of management for compliance with established policies and objectives of the company and contributions in attaining objectives. Fosters a success-oriented, accountable environment within the Company. Represents the Company with clients, investors and business partners. Identify opportunities and direct implementation activities. Approve PurEnergy operational procedures, policies, and standards. Evaluate and advise on the impact of long range planning, introduction of new programs/strategies and regulatory action. Other duties as assigned.

SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY

This position manages a team and is responsible for the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of these divisions. The Senior Vice President also directly supervises non-supervisory employees. This position’s responsibilities include: interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems as required in the structure of the PurEnergy organization.

Operating within Company policies, procedures, and process guidelines, determine new required practices and procedures and develop new policies and objectives as necessary.  The position is accountable for implementation of projects that generate sales volume to meet or exceed established Company budget objectives. The position encounters a wide diversity of work situations with a very high degree of complexity.  Contacts are consistently made with others inside and outside of the Company to include customers, vendors, contractors, other departments, immediate associates and own supervisor. Contacts are made on own initiative concerning matters requiring explanation, discussion, interpretation and approvals.

All employees have the responsibility to both the customer and their co-workers to do the job right the first time and to ensure the customers' needs are being met. 

EDUCATION, SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or other related field is required. A MBA degree is desired, but not mandatory. At least fifteen (15) years of experience in an industrial or power plant environment or related field, including operations, maintenance, design/consulting, construction, and startup. At least five years of Senior Management experience with P&L responsibility overseeing the operations and commercial aspects of a power generation or a related business unit(s). Management experience involving activities and tasks in multiple disciplines required, including management of tasks involving, budgeting, accounting, and marketing/business development. Working knowledge of the power industry and customer base. Outstanding organizational awareness. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints. Ability to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations on controversial or complex topics to the Board and internal staff at all levels as well as with outside investors. Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly. Ability to find a solution for, or to deal proactively with, work-related problems. Ability to complete assigned tasks under stressful situations. Ability to deal with shifting priorities and issues inherent in a growth oriented company. An energetic, forward-thinking and creative individual with high ethical standards and an appropriate professional image. A strategic leader with sound technical skills, analytical ability, good judgment and strong operational focus. A well-organized and self-directed individual who is "politically savvy" and a team player. WORK CONDITIONS

Normal working hours are 8:00a.m. to 5:00p.m. Monday through Friday.  However, client and business development demands may dictate adjustment to this schedule including extended hours, travel, on-call duty and demands beyond the normal job description.
