Senior Warranty Analyst

Job Summary: 

Under moderate supervision, extracts, compiles and analyzes warranty, parts recovery, financial and other relevant data. Summarizes metrics and communicates/presents data findings to management. Identifies and manages projects to improve efficiency of department and meet warranty expense goals. 

Roles and Responsibilities:

Extracts, compiles and analyzes warranty, parts recovery, financial and other relevant data, and collaborates cross organizationally to fulfil action based upon PDCA. Creates monthly reports to include warranty status by sales, product and distribution channels. Summarizes reports for management to include high level summary and supporting details to identify concern and problem areas.  Prepares various ad-hoc reports at the discretion of Quality Assurance and Warranty management.  Supports Warranty management in developing processes and systems to immediately identify and act upon claim anomalies and unusual customer warranty trends by providing the data needed to make those decisions and seeing resolution through to completion.  Creates complex and comprehensive presentations to outline the scope and results of project, and present to senior management.  Prepares forecast reports illustrating 6, 12, 24 and 36-month claim trends.  Works to develop mutually agreed upon performance and deliverable targets; and assists in the creation of clear process documentation (including flowcharts) to allow Warranty staff to continue conducting analysis, processes and reporting.  Subject Matter Expert of warranty data and responsible for creation and maintenance of warranty related dashboards and cards in DOMO.  Supports the development of annual warranty budget plan for Nenkei and Shukei.  Reviews and analyzes warranty claims to ensure compliance with applicable warranty policies and procedures and communicates with customers as needed to advise of claim settlement, kaizen and training opportunities.  Assists on special projects as directed by department management.  Performs other duties as assigned.

Skills and Abilities:

Written and verbal communication skills and presentation skills. Ability to communicate with internal and external customers on issues of moderate to considerable importance, up to and including senior management.  Competent level of experience using Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel, as well as DOMO and/or other analytic software  Customer service skills. Ability to promote and support a service-oriented environment  Demonstrated problem solving skills  Analytical skills with an ability to independently evaluate and develop innovative solutions to complex situations  Negotiation skills. Ability to defend position strongly while keenly aware of the need to maximize benefits for all sides.  Demonstrated understanding and demonstrated competency in working with computer software and mainframe applications to manipulate, analyze and reconcile data

Required Qualifications:

Bachelors degree or higher in Finance, Economics, Engineering or related field.  2-5 years of relevant experience 

Preferred Qualifications:

Circuit Analysis (discrete components) Experience in Test/Measurement Field Familiar with Agilent / Keysight inspection systems Experienced or interested in Radio Frequency Electronics and Radar Knowledge of GPS systems Experience with AutoCAD

Salary Range: $100,900 – 126,000
