Carollo Engineers is an internationally recognized water firm that specializes in the planning, design, and construction of water, wastewater, and stormwater facilities. We are seeking a Senior Level Water Resource Engineer to help deliver water resources, water supply planning, and reuse projects in Florida. You will perform work on water resources studies, water supply feasibility studies, integrated water supply plans, one water plans and programs, conservation plans, and water reuse studies. This will include calculations and analyses of water supplies and demands, conducting alternatives analyses, and documenting results.

Responsibilities Application of hydraulic, hydrologic, or hydrogeologic modeling systems to support the planning and design of related infrastructure, such as: pipelines, open channels, pump stations, channel stabilization techniques, rapid infiltration systems, storage and treatment facilities, wellfields, and other natural and manmade systems.Hydraulic and hydrologic calculations, report writing, and other activities needed to support the planning, design, and integration of water supply and water management facilities.Understanding and application of water supply planning, demand management, alternatives analysis, and feasibility studies for small to large water supply projects of moderate complexity.Collaboration with other engineering disciplines, designers, and scientists.Some travel may be required. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or Chemical Engineering15+ years of water resources projectsRegistration as a Professional Engineer Must have demonstrated experience with managing and designing medium- to large-sized projects with full responsibility for budget, schedule, contractual obligations and quality standardsAbility to evaluate progress of staff and results obtained, and recommends major changes to achieve overall objectivesDemonstrate creative, foresight and mature engineering judgment in anticipating and solving unprecedented engineering problemsAbility to communicate effectively with clients and project teamDeliver high quality services within budget and schedule constraintsFamiliar with a broad range of issues related to wastewater and reuse systems, including master planning, conveyance, with an emphasis on treatment plant design. Knowledge of structural and geotechnical design concepts, analytical laboratory techniques and familiarity with codes and regulation related to drinking waterSensitive to political issues and client preferencesWork well in a team environmentProficient in public speaking rolesProficient in MS Word and Excel Preferred Qualifications Master’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.Familiarity with computer applications including ArcGIS and water and sewer hydraulic calculations/modeling software (WaterGEMS, InfoWater, InfoWorks ICM, InfoSWMM, Groundwater Vistas).
