Primary Responsibilities

In the role of Senior Water/Wastewater Engineer, we'll count on you to:

Serve as a technical expert water/wastewater planning, design, and construction projectsPrepare and guide junior staff in the preparation of design plans for major mechanical engineering projectsMake interpretive detailed sketches or layouts of intricate or fundamental portions of the basic design plan for municipal water or wastewater projects, and prepare maps, designs, plans, contract and working drawings, estimates, contract specifications, and other technical specificationsApprove and supervise the design, inspection, construction, demolition, installation of contracts, drawings, specifications for water and wastewater projectsReport on contracts and contract estimates, contract modifications and recommendations for awardsPlan and develop projects or design activities that have significant impact on major company programs as neededCollaborate with Business/Accounting Manager or Project Controller and Department Manager for project reviews and with company management as neededPresent and explain design element with clients on project meetings, in-person workshops, using drawings and/or PowerPoint presentations.

Required Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Civil EngineeringMinimum of 10 years experience in water/wastewater industryCalifornia PEStrong technical background and experience in one or more of the following categories: water treatment, wastewater treatment, pump stations and pipelines, conveyance, gravity sewer design, water distribution systemsMicrosoft Office, AutoCAD, MicroStation and hydraulic modeling softwareProject Engineering and Project Management experience is necessaryAn attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must

The expected compensation range for this position is $115,192 to $172,040 annually depending upon skills, experience, education and geographical location. Stated benefits are for full-time regular positions. Temporary and part-time roles eligible for limited benefits.
