What you'll be doing
As a Senior Wealth Strategist, you are responsible for supporting and working closely with Relationship Managers and clients to develop and implement wealth planning as part of CIBC Private Wealth’s integrated wealth management process. You will also help clients understand their estate planning, tax planning, philanthropic vehicles, life insurance programs and business succession planning.
How you'll succeed
Liaise with Relationship Managers and clients in a consultative role, developing wholistic wealth plans to enhance the overall client experience with CIBC Private Wealth
Assist with the review of estate planning and trust documents
Preparation of written and graphical summaries
Research and review of fiduciary and tax issues
Support the business development effort by participating in prospect calls
Assist in developing educational and marketing materials
Participate in educational seminars internally
Speak to client and intermediary groups externally
Participate in expanding the wealth strategies offering across the firm
Who you are
Bachelor’s degree and Juris Doctorate
Attorney with 10-15+ years of estate planning experience
Expertise in estate planning, insurance planning, business succession planning and philanthropic planning
Experience in income tax planning and accounting preferred
Experience in the trust and financial services industry with broad connections in the trust and estate legal community
Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to convey information to internal and external clients in a clear, focused and concise manner
Strong analytical skills, including demonstrated experience identifying and quantifying problems and providing effective resolutions

At CIBC, we offer a competitive total rewards package. This role has an expected salary range of $200,000-240,000 for the Chicago market based on experience, qualifications, and location of the position. The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant business unit’s incentive compensation plan, which also may include a discretionary bonus component. CIBC offers a full range of benefits and programs to meet our employee’s needs; including Medical, Dental, Vision, Health Savings Account, Life Insurance, Disability, and Other Insurance Plans, Paid Time Off (including Sick Leave, Parental Leave, and Vacation), Holidays, and 401(k), in addition to other special perks reserved for our team members.
Additional total compensation and benefits details will be provided during the hiring process. Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location.
