Who you’ll be working with
We build the solutions dreamed up by the product and design teams. Our goal is to deliver working software every two weeks. We are a large team that spans across three global offices, but we collaborate and integrate front- and back-end components and interfaces to provide a user-centered experience through web and mobile platforms.
What you’ll be doing
Designing and building the website front-end. Creating the website architecture. Designing and managing the website back-end including database and server integration. Conducting website performance tests. Troubleshooting and debugging issues. Conducting WordPress training with the client. Proactive post-release monitoring of site performance. Consulting, designing, and implementing new features and functionality. Ensuring high-performance and availability, and managing all technical aspects of the CMS. Helping formulate an effective, responsive design and turning it into a working theme and plugin. Need to lead the development of WordPress websites, plugins, themes, and custom functionality while ensuring the highest standards of performance, security, and scalability. You will be responsible for overseeing code quality through regular code reviews, addressing performance bottlenecks, and troubleshooting issues to optimize site functionality.What you’ll need to be successful (Requirements)
5+ years of experience in WordPress development, particularly in custom themes and plugins. Proficient in PHP, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3 Experience with modern frontend/CSS frameworks (e.g., TailwindCSS, BEM) Experience working with debugging tools such as Chrome Inspector and Firebug. Expertise in CI/CD pipelines and automated build systems Knowledge of how to interact with RESTful APIs and formats (JSON, XML) Experience with collaborative tools (Jira, Slack, etc.) Good understanding of website architecture and aesthetics. Ability to manage projects. Good communication skills. Experience building user interfaces for websites and web applications Ability to understand CSS changes and their ramifications to ensure consistent style across platforms and browsers. Ability to convert comprehensive layout and wireframes into working HTML pages Knowledge of how to interact with RESTful APIs and formats (JSON, XML) Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git, SVN, and Mercurial etc. Good understanding of SEO implications during migrations and URL restructuring. Exposure to WooCommerce, Elementor, Divi plugins in addition to other third party integrations would be a plus.
