Senior Workday Tax Analyst - Remote Opportunity

Our Payroll Team is seeking a Senior Payroll Tax Analyst, reporting to the Sr Payroll Manager, to support U.S. federal, state, and local tax compliance and provision projects. In this role, you will partner with the Payroll Team, vendors, and internal and external business partners to deliver successful payroll tax compliance results while building a deeper payroll tax bench.

Responsibilities:Ensure accurate and timely payroll tax processing, adhering to federal, state, and local regulations while maintaining corporate payroll policies. Be responsible for tax reconciliations, including periodic, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.Identify, register, and coordinate new payroll tax accounts for new work locations; lead existing tax accounts, including updates and closures. Maintain state unemployment rates and ensure timely updates in Workday.Review and audit tax reports such as W-2s and 941s; assist with internal and external audits by providing vital documentation. Stay current with tax law changes, analyze their impact, and recommend compliance measures.Ensure payroll systems are configured accurately for tax calculations and updates. Handle ADP Smart Compliance exceptions and optimize tax strategies by demonstrating incentives and credits.Work closely with payroll teams and external agencies to resolve payroll tax issues. Reconcile payroll tax accounts, identify discrepancies, and address tax-related concerns.Find opportunities to improve payroll tax processes for greater efficiency and accuracy. Communicate tax deadlines, status updates, and workflow-related questions.Qualifications:Strong experience in payroll tax, payroll processing and understands payroll tax regulations, including multi-state, multi-unit, quarterly, and year-end tax processes.Experience with Workday Payroll and Knowledge of ADP Smart Compliance for payroll tax management and compliance.Ability to balance periodic payroll tax reconciliations accurately.Ensure payroll tax compliance while identifying and resolving discrepancies in payroll processing.
