TechCrunch is seeking a Senior Writer who’s deeply intrigued by the AI arms race and can distill it into compelling stories for a diverse audience: from seasoned founders and investors to those just beginning to grasp tech’s influence on the world. Bonus points if you can cover a broad range of topics with authority and flair.

Responsibilities:
Break news regularly, staying ahead of the curve in a fast-moving industry.
Write in-depth features on the businesses and individuals driving change in AI.
Build and nurture relationships with sources to land key interviews and profile industry leaders.
Cut through the noise to identify what’s truly impactful versus overhyped in the tech world.
Work closely with colleagues to ensure every story meets TechCrunch’s high standards.
Qualifications:
5+ years of experience as a business or tech reporter, with a proven track record of breaking news.
Strong interest in technology trends, key players, and the evolving AI landscape.
Demonstrated success in developing sources and uncovering scoops.
Ability to differentiate between substance and bluster in a fast-changing industry.
Availability to work from our San Francisco office twice a week.

The compensation for this position ranges from $72,750.00 - $151,250.00/yr and will vary depending on factors such as your location, skills and experience. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary annual bonus or commissions, in addition to equity incentives.
