Senior Youth Counselor - Falcon Ridge Ranch
✨Join a group of passionate advocates on our mission to improve the lives of youth!  Rite of Passage Team is hiring Senior Youth Counselors at Falcon Ridge Ranch in Virgin, Utah✨   Falcon Ridge Ranch is a residential treatment program that provides a safe, supportive and nurturing environment for vulnerable young women who are referred from juvenile courts and social service agencies both locally and across the country. The youth enter the program with a history of abuse, neglect, trauma, substance abuse, mental illness and violence. They graduate from Falcon Ridge Ranch as educated young women who have overcome challenges and have demonstrated making healthy choices for themselves and for their future.    Pay: $20.25 per hour.   Perks & Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision and company paid Life Insurance within 90 days, and 401k match of up to 6% after 1 year of employment, Paid Time Off that can be used as soon as it accrues and more! ROP-benefits-and-perks-2   What you will do: Senior Youth Care Workers are to provide safety and around-the-clock supervision for the youth in our program and provide an atmosphere that is supportive of the needs of the students.  You’ll monitor and document student behaviors and activities, participate and assist with educational, social, athletic and recreational activities, and work in collaboration with other professional staff to establish and/or meet the goals of each student’s treatment plan.     To be considered you should: Be empathetic, patient, consistent, and compassionate, have an honest work ethic, and treat others with respect ~ Internal applicants must be a Youth Counselor with no less than standard performance and at least one year of experience at Rite of Passage in a Youth Counselor or higher Direct Care Position ~ Staff in this position must have completed Operations and Treatment Essential Subjects prior to placement in this position ~ Additionally, staff in this position must complete Human Resources Essential subjects within six months of placement in the position. ~External candidates must have 1-year prior experience working with at-risk youth in a similar position as a Youth Counselor or higher Direct Care position or at least 60 hours of college education in a directly related field of study.  Staff must complete Operations, Treatment and Human Resources Essential Subject Training within 6 months of placement in the position ~  Supervisory experience preferred ~ Be at least 21 years of age ~ Internal applicants must be a coach ~ Be able to pass a criminal background check, drug screen, physical, and TB test ~ Be able to pass a search of the child abuse central registry.   Schedule: 7:00 am to 8:00 pm or 8:00 am to 9:00 pm with 1 hour break (12-hour Shift).   Long Week you work: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday  Short Week you work: Wednesday, Thursday    Apply today and Make a Difference in the Lives of Youth!
