We are responsible for the end-to-end digital and physical Guest experience for all technology & digital-led initiatives across the Attractions & Entertainment, Food & Beverage, Resorts & Transportation and Merchandise lines of business as well as other initiatives including MyDisneyExperience and Hey, Disney!
This role sits in the Disney Cruise Line organization within Technology & Digital for Disney Experiences. It works closely with our Cruise Line and various from across the company.
The Senior Software Engineer will report to the Manager of Technology.
About The Role & Team:
This team creates and supports the Disney Cruise Line web day planning and trip planning experience site and engages closely with our line of business.What You’ll Do:
May lead small projects encompassing analysis, design, programming, debugging, and modification of software enhancements and/or new products used in local, networked, cloud-based, or Internet-related computer programsResponsible for performing testing and debugging of applicationsCode may be used in commercial and end-user applications or focus on software and tools supporting infrastructure and technology platformsCode at the component levelWork typically involves large or highly sophisticated software programs and systemsPossess a proven understanding of current programming language and technologies, with strong skills in writing code and completing programming tasksInteract with users to define system requirements and/or necessary modificationsConceive, design, develop, test, and implement software components, fixes, improvements, and/or new systems and applicationsDesign and develop highly scalable software systems and applicationsYou will be expected to stay up to date with emerging technologiesRequired Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of related work experienceComfortable working in an agile environmentProficiency in Angular or React/Vue, Tailwinds or similar, Restify or NestJS or similar, with a proactive demeanor towards continuous learning and skill development, and an interest in mastering emerging data engineering tools and methodologiesRequired Education:
Bachelor's or foreign equivalent Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or comparable field of study, and/or equivalent work experience#DISNEYTECH
