The Sensing Test Hardware Engineering group is responsible for all research, design, development, calibration, test and qualification of various sensing hardware for Apple products. This team is seeking for an exceptional sensing hardware Test/Validation Engineer with responsibilities of developing and deploying the test infrastructure for the mass production of various sensing hardware for Apple product line.
**Description**
Define & develop test requirements, coverage, calibration strategy and algorithms of sensing devices. Develop the Algorithm and implement optimized SW tools. Design high level system architecture and share with cross functional teams before simulation and prototyping. Failure & Root Cause Analysis, and Corrective Action studies with detailed 1-pagers. Able to identify issues proactively and in design stage. Responsible for Test plan, EE, software, tester documentation release working with team. Data analysis to identify trends & potential improvements Occasional travel to both Apple and suppliers' facilities will be required for the test infrastructure development and bring up.
**Minimum Qualifications**
+ At least 3 years of relevant industry experience like sensor testing & design
+ Self-motivated professional, able to drive and lead multiple projects
+ Effective communicator with strong collaboration with large teams
+ Good fundamental EE skills and able to review schematics, layouts, identify potential issues
+ Good lab characterization with standard tools (function generators, DMMs, Oscilloscopes etc)
+ Good C/C++/python programing skills. Experience programming, debugging with Xcode development environment is a plus
+ Working experience and abilities of the signal processing with Matlab
+ Basic CAD 3D & 2D experience including DFM, DFMEA understanding
+ Exceptional HW/SW problem solving and optimization skills
+ Data / Statistical analysis and reporting takeaways from large data test results
+ Self-motivated professional, able to drive and lead multiple projects
+ Effective communicator with strong collaboration with large teams

+ At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $121,900 and $214,500, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
