TDES also collaborates with the modeling and simulation (TDAM) and advanced development (TDAA) technical groups to ensure that TDEV models and simulations and compatible with SEG’s simulation products and frameworks, and to inform needed updates in the simulations and frameworks. TDES sensor models are used to test and validate the TDAM-developed software products and to perform a wide range of sensor-system analysis to support the design and development of community sensors.

The technical group lead (TGL) is responsible for the overall success of the technical group.  Success is measured by the cost-effective development and delivery of technical products as well as the expansion of technical capabilities and support for new work opportunities.
