Job DescriptionPeriod of Work: May-August 2025Full-Time: 40 hours a weekLocation: McLean, VAIn Office Requirement: Hybrid (50% onsite) The Theater Command and Control department leads projects and initiatives directly related to the overall Homeland / Air Defense mission. Across the department, our goal is to rapidly field capabilities that provide continuous surveillance, seamless command and control, and engagement of airborne threats. The Sensors Engineering Intern will a ssist in procuring, configuring, fielding, troubleshooting and verifying Ionospheric Sounders and associated communications infrastructure for the OTHR Winter Study experimental system. Basic Qualifications
+ Must be a student enrolled full-time in an accredited degree-seeking program in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related degree and continue to be enrolled full-time the semester following the internship.
+ “Hands-on” Python skills
+ Familiarity with Linux
+ Sustained excellence in academic performance
Preferred Qualifications
+ Demonstrated interest in serving the public
+ “Hands-on” experience with MatLab and/or C++
+ Familiarity with networking principles
+ Familiarity with Sounders and/or RF hardware
+ Knowledge of sensors, radars and/or HF
