Location: Bridgewater, NJ Duration: 12 month contract Pay rate:$ 33.57/hour In this role, the individual will assist with the daily operations of the sensory kitchen and the sensory and consumer testing conducted by the department. This includes collaborating with scientists to ensure all project logistics are covered, enabling projects to run smoothly and efficiently. **Core Responsibilities:** + Supporting day-to-day operation of the sensory laboratory under guidance of the senior technician: + Maintains laboratory and supply space cleanliness and demonstrates safe laboratory behavior + Working with the lead scientist and manager, ensure that sensory studies are executed on time and with excellence + Helps plan and procure products and supplies for the laboratory each week to enable on-site tastings and product evaluations (e.g. foods, beverages, cups, napkins, etc.) + Supports execution of sensory studies conducted by our sensory and employee panels + Familiar with and adheres to health, safety and environment policies and procedures that pertain to role and with good laboratory practices + Supports execution of on-site and external sensory and consumer testing under guidance of the senior technician: + Schedule, plan and execute informal lab tastings including product preparation, ballot development and reporting. + Assists with procurement, and shipping products for external consumer testing ensuring timely delivery and record keeping. + Supports execution of onsite consumer testing.
