Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Project Manager. This position is located in Roy, UT and will support the Sentinel program. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.

The selected candidate will join the DevStar team within the System Engineering Directorate and will support the Sentinel Program's Software Chief Engineer. The candidate will work on software development improvements and automation initiatives for the Software Development Plan. They will also assist with Software development Enterprise Training, Problem Report Boards and Peer Review processes. In addition, they will support DevStar teams in coordinating the development and execution of the Integrated Functional Capability in accordance with the Integrated Master Schedule to support major milestone events, and the Software Build Integration for the Sentinel Program.

What you will get to do:

Serve as an overall integration function for the program engaging in many ad hoc activities required to ensure streamlined cadence for program operations and execution.

Collaborate across all functions within the program to develop advanced concepts, techniques and requirements for new applications and tools.

Coordinate schedules, requirements, and performance visibility to both the Program Office and the Customer while maintaining quality, cost, and schedule requirements.

Facilitate internal and external meetings to support the program and represent program management in appropriate program reviews or boards.

Identify and mitigate project risks throughout project life cycle.

Identify opportunities for change and champion needed changes in the organization.

Will perform other duties as assigned.

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.  

Basic Qualifications:

2 years of experience with a bachelor's degree; or 0 Year with Masters. Four additional years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.

U.S. Citizenship with an active DoD Secret Clearance and the ability to obtain Special Access Program Clearance.

Experience in Project Management and Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Experience with Software Development Planning and Automation.

Experience with Problem Report Boards.

Experience with Peer Review Process Management.

Experience with JIRA.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with Agile/DevOps methodologies, practices, and tools.

General understanding of Northrop Grumman Corporation Engineering Processes.

Excellent communication, mentoring, interpersonal skills, and ability to interface with senior management, peers, and employees.

An active DoD top secret clearance in scope (investigation within the last 6 years) and SAP/SAR program access.

Experience and technical knowledge with Sentinel or MMIII weapon systems.

Project Management experience on large complex development programs.

Previous experience leading a team in successful completion of projects.

Salary Range: $63,800.00 - $95,800.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
