SEO Strategist II
**About the Role** We are looking for an experienced SEO Strategist to innovate and drive Organic growth through the various web properties at Uber. This role will be responsible for driving new ideas across both content and tech SEO to accelerate our Organic growth across ubereats.com and postmates.com. **What You'll Do** - Considered by others as “Expert skill level”. Understands advanced and technical SEO forwards and backwards. Able to synthesize a clear SEO strategy to resolve issues and to seek wins. - Thinks creatively and regularly introduces new SEO concepts that become prioritized into projects, and that ultimately drive positive results. Able to take on very complicated tactics/obstacles and solve them or come up with actionable ideas for solutions. - Expert in data reporting without guidance. Proactively explores data for new insights, and shares learnings with the team. Able to diagnose and explain anomalies or fluctuations in performance data independently. - Has a strong understanding of technical SEO, general programming languages, and is able to collaborate with engineers and product managers. Comes up with net-new technical optimizations and is able to troubleshoot issues that come up with engineering and data. Able to write clear and complex jira tickets and PRDs that outline engineering requirements. - Collaborate cross functionally with multiple teams across the performance marketing organization and ensure dependency consensus. Comfortably negotiates and influences others across the company, both to resolve conflicts and to promote opportunities in the best interest of SEO priorities and goals. - Understand Uber’s evolving strategic and competitive position delivering products that are recognized as best in the industry. **Basic Qualifications** - 5+years of in-house technical SEO experience within an international web business, driving projects from idea to implementation. - Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Statistics, Engineering, Mathematics, or a similar field - Deep knowledge of SEO, and advanced familiarity with HTML, Javascript, and other front-end web programming languages. - Strong analytical skills and data-driven approach, and proficiency with Excel/Google Sheets reports. - Consistent track record of driving execution with examples of successful international web optimization projects. - Strong project management skills and proven experience leading and prioritizing multiple SEO projects simultaneously - Experience collaborating with and inspiring engineering, data, design, and content teams to build compelling web experiences for your users. - Strong communicator and an ability to present project plans, communicate expectations and goals across a diverse range of partners. ## **Preferred Qualifications** - Experience with SQL, Tableau, or similar business intelligence tools - Experience in product strategy and development - An entrepreneurial approach - you must be comfortable rolling up your sleeves, growing in ambiguity, and getting the work done. For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$165,000 per year - USD$183,000 per year. You will be eligible to participate in Uber's bonus program, and may be offered an equity award & other types of comp. You will also be eligible for various benefits.
