Work with a purpose! Management & Training Corporation (MTC) proudly operates the Bluebonnet Detention Center in Anson, Texas. We provide a safe and secure working environment for our staff while helping non-citizens gain valuable skills and treatment necessary for success upon release. 

What you'll do: You will act as lead worker for assigned correctional officers and be responsible for the custody and discipline of the non-citizens in the facility.

Essential functions: 

Assign work schedules, protect, instruct, train, counsel and provide feedback for evaluation of assigned employees.  Responsible for the care, custody, and adherence to rules and regulations of non-citizens assigned to specific work area.  Supervise and direct searches for contraband and provide security. Required to perform “pat” and “strip searches” by squatting and bending to perform such functions as needed. Required to climb ladders or stairs in search of contraband.  Supervise and provide custody and security of non-citizens including observation of non-citizens and non-citizens assigned to work duty which includes long periods of sitting and standing.  Required to make rounds of the facility which requires long periods of walking. 

Education and Experience Requirements: 

High school diploma or equivalent  Two (2) years’ experience in an adult correctional environment or related field required.  Must successfully complete required pre-service training.  Valid driver’s license in the state of Texas with an acceptable driving record required, unless waived by management.
