Job Description Omni Oklahoma City Hotel is seeking an experienced server for Bob's Steak & Chop House to join the team of this upscale hotel in the heart of Oklahoma City. This position is responsible for serving fine dining courses and alcohol to guests in a professional manner. Bob’s Steak & Chop House specializes in serving big, flavorful steaks that are hand-selected from the top two percent of USDA prime beef along with Texas-sized portions of our award-winning sides. Mouth-watering, legendary seafood and cuts of meat are absolutely delicious as we use homemade and local ingredients to enhance the flavor of our signature menu items. When it comes to Wine, each Bob’s carries a large selection — usually 300 to 500 wines — beyond our core list of favorites. In-house wine buyers select wines from all over the world to satisfy local clientele and regulars at each of our locations. Because of this, there is not a corporate written list which allows each Bob’s to offer their own, unique wine inventories. Each Bob’s utilizes climate-controlled wine cellars and features Wine of the Month for our guests to try. While the industry standard for wine by the glass has gone from 6 ounces to down to 5 ounces, Bob’s pours 8 ounces. Responsibilities • Greet guests when entering the restaurant with a pleasant smile and superior customer service• Set tables according to type of event and service standards• Take orders and answer questions/offer suggestions on menu selections• Communicate with culinary team regarding meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs and special requests• Record transaction in MICROS system at time of order• Check in with guests to ensure satisfaction with each food course and/or beverage• Present accurate check to guest and process payment• Maintain cleanliness of work areas throughout the day• Clean and set up tables• Complete closing duties Qualifications • Must be able to work in a fast paced environment• 1 year serving experience with a quality establishment highly preferred• Prior serving and cash handling experience preferred• Must be able to multi task• Must be able to stand and walk for an extended period of time or for an entire shift• Must be able to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 10lbs without assistance• Must be able to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays• Must have Food Handler permit and OK ABLE license prior to first day of work Omni Hotels & Resorts is an equal opportunity employer - vets/disability.
