As a Server at Esplanade Lakewood Ranch, you will be responsible for providing exceptional dining service to our members and guests. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, strong knowledge of food and beverages, and a commitment to delivering a superior guest experience.
You will create memorable experiences by taking detailed orders, serving meals, and ensuring that all guests’ needs are met in a timely and professional manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Guest Service: Greet and interact with members and guests in a courteous, warm, and professional manner. Ensure their satisfaction from the moment they are seated until they leave.
- Menu Knowledge: Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the food and beverage menus, including specials, preparation methods, ingredients, and potential allergens. Provide thoughtful recommendations based on guest preferences.
- Order Accuracy: Take accurate food and beverage orders, input them into the POS system, and communicate any special requests or dietary restrictions to the kitchen.
- Service Excellence: Serve food and beverages promptly, ensuring correct orders are delivered to the right guests. Attend to guests throughout their dining experience, refilling drinks, clearing plates, and responding to requests.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with kitchen staff, bartenders, and fellow servers to ensure seamless service. Support your teammates to enhance the overall guest experience.
- Cleanliness & Setup: Ensure tables, dining areas, and service stations are clean, tidy, and properly set before, during, and after service. Assist with resetting tables, replenishing supplies, and keeping service areas organized.
- Upselling & Recommendations: Suggest additional items or upgrades to enhance the guest’s dining experience. This may include recommending wine pairings, specialty cocktails, or dessert options.
- Complaint Resolution: Address guest concerns or complaints with a positive attitude, resolving issues promptly and professionally. If necessary, involve management to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Compliance: Adhere to all health, safety, and sanitation standards, including proper handling of food and beverages. Follow alcohol service regulations and ensure guests are of legal drinking age.
- Check Handling: Present checks to guests in a timely manner, process payments accurately

Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and occasionally more. Must be able to carry trays, plates, and glassware in a fast-paced environment.
