This Resort is surrounded by an ocean of Ponderosa Pines and gives guests exclusive access to Lake Arrowhead, a reservoir with a surface area of 780 acres. Lake Arrowhead is the perfect location for outdoor adventure enthusiasts and offers a variety of summertime and wintertime activities including hiking, mountain biking, fishing, kayaking, water skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, ziplining, and more. The resort includes a Bar & Restaurant, Spa & Wellness Center, Outdoor Pool & Lake Beach as well as over 23,000 sq. ft of meeting and events space. Overview We are looking for a highly motivated, customer focused Bin 189 Restaurant Server to join our team! Servers are the face of our restaurant and responsible for our customers’ experiences. Food server responsibilities include ensuring our tables are clean and tidy when guests arrive, presenting menus and serving food and beverages. This individual will need to be quick on your feet and have an engaging attitude. This is a tremendous opportunity for a driven person to grow and learn at a world-class property! Your Role Interact with guests to take drink and food orders. Communicate with kitchen for food ordering. Ensure prompt delivery of food to the guest’s table. Have working knowledge of liquor, beer, wine and food that is served. Suggest: pairings of food to wine or beer; additional menu items, specials, or promotions to enhance dining experience. Handle all checks and cash according to procedures. Ensure cleanliness of restaurant including polished flatware, clean glassware and plates. Be familiar with all property amenities. Work collaboratively with kitchen staff, bartenders, stewards, bussers, hostess, and other servers to ensure smooth service while maintaining a positive work environment. Marginal Functions Breaking down and resetting non-food and beverage areas. General side work, including but not limited to cleaning, polishing, and vacuuming. Respond to any reasonable task as assigned by supervisor or manager on duty.Help in other areas of the restaurant, including hostess, steward, or other. Environment Indoors, dimly lit, carpeted, and climate-controlled environment. Hard kitchen floors with occasional slippery or greasy areas. Handling hot plates, glasses, and silverware. Outdoors, cement surfaces, with exposure to outdoor climate and elements. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. One year of restaurant or event service experience required. Wine, Beer, Specialty Drink, and Food experience required. High volume experience. Good food and service knowledge. Extensive wine knowledge. Pleasant, outgoing, engaging personality. Excellent communication skills. RBS certificate and San Bernardino County Food Handler’s Certificate required or must be obtained. Must be able to adhere to a flexible working schedule. Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel. Compensation Range The compensation for this position is $16.00/Hr. - $16.00/Hr. based on qualifications and experience.
