Within the stunning New York Botanical Garden in the Bronx, Constellation Culinary Group is a vibrant dining establishment and venue that celebrates dining excellence. We are looking for an enthusiastic and friendly Server to join our team dedicated to delivering memorable guest experiences at our seasonal events, such as our upcoming Holiday Train Show.
Compensation is $11 an hour plus tips.
What you'll be doing:As a Server, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service and guest satisfaction with dining orders and maintaining a clean dining area. Servers thrive in a fast-paced environment during high-traffic exhibitions and seasonal events, where time management is key, ensuring seamless service between the kitchen team and guests.
Key Responsibilities:- Greet guests promptly and in a friendly manner, communicating menu items and taking orders accurately.
- Anticipate guest needs and follow up on guest inquiries with enthusiasm and professionalism.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of food and beverages, with high-quality service during peak event times.
- Clear tables efficiently and set up tables between guests, supporting our front-of-house operations as necessary.
- Adhere to all health and safety guidelines, including proper handling of food and sanitation practices
Skills and Qualifications:- Previous experience as a server or in a similar support role within a restaurant or events setting is preferred.
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively and maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills, to engage diverse guests and to collaborate with the kitchen team.
- Commitment to food safety, cleanliness, and an efficient work environment.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
