A banking employer is seeking a Server Administrator to join their team in Middletown, CT. The Server Administrator will report to the Systems Manager and be responsible for implementation, installation, configuration, and maintenance of server hardware, software, and infrastructure systems. This team is responsible for keeping all virtual and physical servers up and running and work closely with the application owners to keep all applications running. This team also handles vulnerability management, as well as backups and patching of the environments. The company currently has about 250 servers that are all primarily Windows. We are looking for someone who can assist in the management and upkeep including configuration, management, and security. The Server Administrator will also assist in ticket management, and assign tickets accordingly that come through the queue. This resource should have general SQL knowledge and be able to do SQL installations and upgrades. They will also be responsible for active directory account creation and management. Strong communication and attention to detail are a must have for this position.
