**40377BR** **Extended Job Title:** Server Administrator III **Org Level 1:** Texas Tech Unv Hlth Sci Ctr El Paso **Position Description:** The Server Administrator III’s role includes designing, installing, administering, and maintaining advanced computing systems. This includes conducting analysis of specification requirements, as well as, development and implementation of standards and procedures. The position is also expected to assist senior departmental management in IT strategic planning and provide general support for server operating systems and server applications. **Requisition ID:** 40377BR **Travel Required:** Up to 25% **Major/Essential Functions:** + Administer, upgrade, maintain, secure and analyze enterprise and infrastructure and mission critical applications, applications in the Datacenter : i.e. Clinical, Academic, Research, Infrastructure applications. + Ensure services and datacenter infrastructure are available, reliable, safe and recoverable. Ensure Firmware upgrades and Operating systems upgrade are performed timely and in compliance, i.e. Windows Servers, Linux, Vmware, Citrix, etc. + Work after hours and or weekend when required. Monitor network and data center services during on call schedule and upon request. + Administer, configure, upgrade and monitor backup, recovery and business continuity infrastructure. + Adhere to all TTUHSCEP policies, procedures and processes. + Personally demonstrate, display, and act in accordance with TTHSCEP's values (Service, Respect, Accountability, Integrity, Advancement and Teamwork). + Perform other duties as assigned. **Grant Funded?:** No **Minimum Hire Rate:** Compensation is commensurate upon the qualifications of the individual selected **Pay Basis:** Monthly **Schedule Details:** May be required to work after hours and/or weekends. **Work Location:** El Paso **Preferred Qualifications:** + Experience administering one or more of the following platforms: Microsoft Windows Server 2012/2016/2019, VMware Vshere 7.0 and 8.0, Red Hat Linux and Citrix XenApp / Xendesktop, ADFS/SAML. + Experience with at least two or more enterprise class systems, including Electronic Health Records, Imaging Systems, Virtual desktops, Application Servers, Active Directory Servers, Storage, hyperconverged infrastructure, backups, monitoring products and other data center infrastructure products. + Experience managing and delivering complex data center and/or systems administration projects. + Advanced knowledge and experience implementing infrastructure for clinical and/or dental medicine related systems that are HIPAA compliant, industry standards relevant to data center and/or systems administration. **Campus:** HSC - El Paso **Department:** Information Services Elp **Required Attachments:** Cover Letter, Resume / CV, Transcript **Job Type:** Full Time **Pay Statement:** Compensation is commensurate upon the qualifications of the individual selected and budgetary guidelines of the hiring department, as well as the institutional pay plan.
