Job Title: Server Engineer II (Hybrid) Job Description JOB DUTIES / PURPOSE Provide general and routine technical support to a broad range of installation, patching, configuration, and updates to Operating Systems and non-OS vendor application requiring the ability to research, analyses, and resolve problems effectively to meet established performance metrics for Windows platform. Maintain documented procedures for Windows Infrastructure. Collaborates and contributes with team members, software vendors, and other technical staff to develop, design, implement, and continuously improve systems. May require on-call availability and may require working during non-business hours and on weekends. Finally, should be flexible on work timing and to be available on call for remote engineers when required. We are in search of an experienced Windows and Active Directory Server Engineer. This is a hybrid work-at-home and on-site position. This critical role necessitates working independently and as part of a team. We seek a self-starter who is a critical thinker and problem solver, as these qualities are crucial for the role. This person will be responsible for various tasks and duties related to day-to-day activities, problem and issue resolution, and projects. Day-to-day activities may include setting up and maintaining physical and virtual servers, creating and modifying GPOS and OUs, creating and modifying DHCP scopes and options, DNS, and creating and maintaining documentation. The engineer will support a large environment of Windows Servers, PowerShell scripts, multiple Windows Domains, tools, and applications. The role involves researching, analyzing, and effectively resolving problems to meet established performance metrics for the Windows platform in a timely manner to support the business. You will collaborate with team members, software vendors, and other technical staff to develop, design, implement, and continuously improve systems. Flexibility in work timing and being available on call for remote engineers when required are not just additional responsibilities, but key aspects of this role. **JOB DUTIES / PURPOSE** As a Server Engineer II, you will provide technical support, configurations, setup, and troubleshooting for a broad range of Windows servers, the active directory environment, and related technologies. You must have experience in these areas and the ability to work independently and effectively. This role strongly emphasizes team collaboration, where your contributions will be valued and integral to the team's success. You will maintain documented procedures for Windows Infrastructure and collaborate with team members, software vendors, and other technical staff to develop, design, implement, and continuously improve systems. The role may require On-Call availability and working during non-business hours and on weekends. Flexibility in work timing and being available on call for remote engineers when needed are critical aspects of this role. Education / Knowledge: Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college, technical school, or equivalent experience and training. Certification in MCSA, MCSE, VMware, ITIL, or similar certification(s) would be considered an asset. Experience / Skill: Windows and Active Directory Server Engineer and all related technologies + 5+ years’ experience. + Windows Server Operating System Build Configuration and Troubleshooting + Active Directory + Group Policy Creation, Editing, and Troubleshooting + AD Sites and Services + Excellent communication skills + Troubleshooting + Technical Documentation + Ability to implement and assist in developing standards + Windows Power Shell Scripting + Server Build and Configuration. Knowledge of RAID. + DHCP + DNS + Good understanding of VA gaps and remediation + Hands-on with miscellaneous Windows system admin duties. + Virtual and Physical Server Build, Configuration, and Cabling. + Data Center Maintenance and Implementations. + Knowledge of WSUS. SCCM, Bigfix, PDQ, or any patch deployment tool **Mandatory Skills** + Good communication + Server Hardware and Windows OS, AD, DNS, DHCP + Active directory: configured and maintained Active directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy + Installed, Configured, maintained, and have done troubleshooting of Windows Server operating systems + Added and removed **Windows** **server** features and roles such as Terminal **servers** (RDS), DNS, DHCP, etc. + Done troubleshooting using Performance Monitor or any other tools, Event Viewer and Task Manager + Server OS Installation + Server mounting, cabling, and RAID Configuration. + Hardware: Installed, Configured, maintained, and troubleshoot server hardware from any one vendor (IBM, HP, UCS, Nutanix, and Dell Hardware) + OS Windows Server 2016, 2019, and 2022 + PKI/Certificate Server Management + Good Knowledge of Server Compliance. + Understanding of VA gaps and remediation + Knowledge of RAID **Value Added / Opportunity to learn** + Virtualization platforms such as VM Ware and HyperV + Storages + ADFS + Cloud Location: USA, Orlando, FL Location: USA, Orlando, FL Language Requirements: English Time Type: Full time2024-09-15 Physical & Mental Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to operate a computer, keyboard, telephone, headset, and other office equipment.
