Minority/Female/Disability/Veteran Overview We are looking for a highly motivated, customer focused Lead Restaurant Server to join our team! Servers are the face of our restaurant and responsible for our customers’ experiences. Food server responsibilities include ensuring our tables are clean and tidy when guests arrive, presenting menus and serving food and beverages. As Lead Server, this individual will also assist with the training and development of the team. This individual will need to be quick on your feet and have an engaging attitude. This is a tremendous opportunity for a driven person to grow and learn at a world-class property! The Senior Lead shift employee is to assist management in the daily routine of the F&B outlet. They will help open and close the restaurant when a manager or assistant manager is not scheduled at those hours or readily available. In addition to leading the staff, the lead will work alongside staff serving guests food & beverages in a speedy, efficient, friendly and professional manner. Your role: Prepare the restaurant pre-shift for the service ahead Greet guests as they arrive or move about the restaurant Guide guests on their culinary journey through descriptive selling of the menu Be accurate in your order taking, confirming all special requests Be the master of the menu, understanding the details to enhance the conversation Serve as Trainer for all new hires Work collaboratively with other restaurant servers and kitchen/bar staff Assist guests who have concerns to guide them to a resolution that leaves them happy Finalize the experience through timely and accurate bill presentation 70 % of the time you will be taking orders and serving all food and beverage requests, maintain your section, control guest checks and secure proper payment. 20% of the time you will be Responsible for assigning and supervising all opening and/or closing side duties. Assigning sections for service staff and cutting staff at appropriate times. Perform checks of the dining room and patio to ensure the set up and maintenance of areas are up to standards set by the Outlet manager. Conduct pre-meal meetings daily and fill out necessary recaps and pass downs at the end of the shift. Participate, under management’s guidance, in the ongoing training of staff to ensure that employees continue to improve their performance. 10% of the time you will Respond to guests’ requests and complaints in a prompt and professional manner. Make appropriate service recovery gestures according to established guidelines to ensure complete guest satisfaction, always communicating issues to F&B Outlet Manager. Continually checking with the guests and the service staff to ensure that everything is to the guests’ satisfaction. Experience Five years restaurant serving experience. Resort or Hotel preferred but not necessary. Strong customer service experience is required. Previous supervisory experience in a restaurant/bar setting is required. Licenses or Certificates Tips certified Valid Food Handler Card required
