Reporting to the Service Manager in our lease and rental Service department, the Service Advisor is responsible for scheduling service repair work and regular maintenance for this location's lease and rental fleet and following the progress of repairs/maintenance throughout the shift. Responsibilities Ensure compliance of all Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) regulations, as well as the Company’s Health and Safety Policy. Performs yard check every morning to identify all Lease and Rental units in the yard. Moves Lease and Rental units to proper parking spots in the yard. Answers telephone calls made to the Leasing and Rental Service Department. Greets customers in a timely, friendly manner and obtains all specific vehicle/customer information required for proper repairs/services, contacting customer and invoicing (for charge backs). Provides customers with complete and accurate written cost estimates, establishes time required to complete work. Performs walk around with customers to Check-In and Check-out Rental units. Communicates any customer issues or disputes (i.e. customer charge backs) to the Manager. Schedules service appointments; repairs, warranty recalls, regular preventative maintenance. Creates purchase orders (PO) for outside repairs and customer charge backs and supplies PO to vendor. Enters correct costing, account to charge and updates accounting system when required for accrual purposes (i.e. change in cost). Basic Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent. College or post-secondary education is preferred. Two years experience in an automotive repair facility or related industry experience preferred. Valid Class “G” Driver’s license. Class "AZ" or "DZ" Driver's license is an asset. Competency in the following areas required; customer service, administrative skills, team building, proficiency with software and computers. SAP Experience is an asset. Strong interpersonal skills and customer focus. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Criminal Record Check.
