Job Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities – (Key Activities) The following are specific responsibilities and contributions critical to the successful performance of the position: • Responsible for stocking all supplies in the main bar before, during and after each shift, including paper goods, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, consumables, glassware, linen, condiments used in mixing drinks, stocking the bins. • Responsible for the cleanliness of both the bar and service areas through regular maintenance projects and nightly cleaning duties. • Thorough knowledge of product recipes and proper service procedures. Responsible for all products stocked and requisitioned to the bar. • Responsible for bar set-up at the beginning of each shift. Responsible for closing the bar and restocking used items. Responsible for cleanliness of the bar and reporting all maintenance needs to the manager. • Monitor and adhere to the rules and regulations established by the TABC; includes monitoring of guest consumption and knowledge of procedures for handling intoxicated guests. • Thorough knowledge of and correct application of all hotel policies, procedures, and practices. • Responsible for maintaining hotel standards of excellence relating to attitude, customer service, employee relations, and job performance. • Responsible for guest relations including guest's name and product preferences. • Maintain all standards as set by RMOTC. • Attendance at all scheduled meetings.

Experience - • Minimum of six months’ experience in a fine dining or casually elegant upscale establishment preferred
General Skills - • Must be able to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy; prioritize, organize and follow-up; be a clear thinker, remaining calm and resolving problems using good judgment; follow directions thoroughly; understand a guest’s service needs; work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team; work with minimal supervision; maintain confidentiality of guest information and pertinent hotel data.
Technical Skills • Ability to clearly communicate information to customers, managers, fellow employees. • Ability to lift 35 lbs. 5 times a day. • Must have developed language skills to the point to be able to read and understand instructions, safety rules, etc. • Ability to clearly communicate information with bartenders, servers and customers. Must have developed language skills to the point to be able to read and understand instructions, safety rules, etc.
Education or Certification - • Must have alcohol server's certification (TABC) or become certified as required by company policy. Per TABC regulations must be at least 18 years old. Language - • Required to speak, read and write English, with fluency in other languages preferred. Must have developed language skills to the point to be able to read and understand instructions, safety rules, etc.
Physical Requirements • Must be able to endure various physical movements throughout the work areas, reach up and down, remain stationary at times throughout work periods, ability to lift and carry 30-50 lbs. overhead 25 times over an 8-hour period and lift up to 50 pounds, and satisfactorily communicate with guests and co-workers to their understanding.

Job summary - The responsibilities as a Service Bartender include serving beverages (alcoholic & non-alcoholic) to guests and servers in keeping with hotel standards, collection of payment for beverages, insure consistent product and service and observe all legal guidelines and procedures of the TABC.
