Job Description

We are looking to hire an experienced Commercial Service Carpenter to join our growing team in the Groveport, OH area. Our Commercial Service Technicians typically perform multiple small jobs per day. You will be on your own and trusted to be responsible and professional.

ResponsibilitiesAccurately assess needed repairs or issues quickly and effectivelyPerform carpenter repair or service on: Tile replacement (ceiling, ceramic, VCT, etc.), Door replacement and hardware, Build and repair shelving, Caulking, Store restoration (entrances, remove furniture and counters), Repair and finish drywall, Painting, Minor welding (gates/fences), Repair fencing, Plywood Store Windows, Repair siding, CabinetsOpportunity to mentor entry-level carpentersDirect daily communication with our commercial customers and office personnelAssist the office with pricing replacement parts and getting quotes on parts by providing correct part names and part numbersOther duties as assignedEssential Skills2+ years of handyman experienceValid driver's licenseExperience in carpentry, hand tool usage, construction, remodelingProficiency with hand tools, drywall, framing, finish carpentry, hand and power tools, painting, facilities maintenance, flooring, and commercial constructionAdditional Skills & QualificationsExperience with electrical, plumbing, and other trades are nice to haveWhy Work Here?

Work Environment

Work at various commercial and industrial sites including offices, warehouses, hospitals, retail spaces, restaurants, schools, and mixed-use residential buildings. The position is primarily first shift, Monday through Friday, with no fixed start and end times (typically beginning around 7:00-8:00 AM and ending when the last job is complete). You will be on-call for a week every 3-4 weeks, with the schedule expanding as the company grows. Service area covers Columbus and occasionally Cincinnati.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of McKees Rocks, Pennsylvania.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00
