Xylem is looking for a Service Center Technician to report to our Sanford, FL location and service our pumps both on-site and at customer sites in the surrounding area.
**What your day will look like as a** **Service Center Technician**
The Service Center Technician will be responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of our diesel powered rotary and centrifugal pumps and their corresponding electrical and mechanical components. Equipment specific training will be provided, but applicants with previous experience working with industrial or commercial mechanical and electrical equipment, including familiarity with diesel mechanics, are especially encouraged to apply.
**The Service Center Technician will be required to provide their own tools.**
This position has general day shift hours with overtime opportunities and occasional afternoons/weekends.

**Position Requirements for Service Center Technicians**
+ Two to three years of experience and/or training or combination of education, training and experience.
+ Ability to diagnose common mechanical and electrical issues.
+ Experience with diesel engine repairs
+ Basic knowledge of methods, materials, tools and techniques to repair and maintain equipment.
+ Basic knowledge of DC electric and circuit testing skills
+ Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools and lifting equipment.
+ Ability to communicate effectively with customers, co-workers and managers both verbally and in writing.
+ Clean driving record
+ Diesel, fusion, mechanical, electrical experience depending on business unit.
+ Technically sound
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: 50% or more daily travel- home daily.
