Service Center Technician II

Summary:

The Service Center Technician II will monitor and respond to automated building systems including fire protection, medical air/gas, temperature monitoring, pneumatic tube, utility systems, access control, panic alarms, and CCTV in accordance with the departmental and hospital policies and regulatory agency codes. The Service Center Technician II will dispatch and process work request via the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) or per phone request and alarms. Accurately document services requested, and actions taken to ensure customer satisfaction and to maintain a safe environment for patients, visitors and staff.

Education & Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent.

College or technical school a plus.

Must meet one of the following:(1) Three (3) years of experience as a service-related technician (2) Three (3) years of security or police experience (3) Certificate program with a minimum of 500 hours of in-service related technology, i.e. electrical, mechanical, security or controls (4) Three (3) years of related dispatch experience, i.e. EMT, 911 Fire or Police dispatch Prior hospital experience is preferred.

Knowledge of usage of PCs, Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), automated building systems, Auto Cad, pneumatic transit systems and diagnostics to resolve system alarms required.

Ability to resource work with others effectively.

Effective communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities will require safe work practices and compliance with hospital policies and procedures.


Certification/Licensure:

Any relevant license, certificate or formal training, with documentation, will be considered.
